Cooking with Plant-based Proteins

This session is all about the art of cooking with whole food plant proteins – tofu, tempeh and lentils, all which are incredibly important and versatile ingredients in vegan cooking. Transform these simple and easily accessible ingredients into delicious high-protein meals bursting with flavour.

Menu:

  1. Tamarind Tofu steaks with Coconut-chilli drizzle
    – marinated beautifully so its bursting with flavour and finished with an addictive spicy sauce.
  2. Marinated Tempeh satay in homemade peanut sauce
    – Charred and well-seasoned tempeh satay with a lighter version of the classic peanut sauce.
  3. Minced lentil protein tacos with chimmichurri 
    – we are using Herbyvore’s innovative pea protein block to create the most delicious vegan minced meat tacos. Accompanied by a spicy chimmichurri for the complete mouthwatering experience!

    All classes are fully hands-on, with the option to stay and eat or take away a tasting portion for each dish. Please bring your own containers to take away plus 3 small jars for the sauces.

Little Green Kitchen (LGK) is a cooking studio and food consultancy - the brainchild of former lawyer Shalu Asnani to prove that vegetarian food is not boring! LGK offers creative cooking classes and tantalizing menus through their food consulting, private chef and catering services.

The self-confessed foodie’s foray into the world of professional cooking was first born in Beijing at renowned cooking school, The Hutong, where through serendipity she found herself at the helm of their various vegetarian cooking classes.
