Home-made granola deserves a new post! So easy to make & super-healthy… so you can look forward to yummy breakfasts everyday!
Home-made granola
Serves: Makes about 6 cups.
Ingredients
- 2½ cups whole rolled oats
- 1½ cups mixed nuts, sliced (I used almonds, cashews, & pistachios)
- ¼ cup mixed seeds (I used pumpkin, sunflower, chia & sesame seeds
- ¼ cup freshly grated or dessicated coconut
- 1 Tbsp coconut sugar (optional
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ¼ cup oil (I used coconut & olive oil)
- ¼ cup sweetener (maple syrup, honey or agave)
- ½ cup dried sultanas or cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 160°C.
- In a large bowl, mix the oats, nuts and other dry ingredients.
- Combine oil and sweetener separately in a cup.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix thoroughly until its moist.
- Spread out on a large baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, add the dried fruit and mix.
- Let cool completely and store in airtight container.
