I love this class! Salads are a great meal to have in this tropical climate but they also need to be filling and tasty, not an afterthought or a side dish. Spice up your meal with a hearty Asian-inspired salad that’s full of protein and peppered with lots of fresh herbs and local spices. You will want to eat each of these as a meal on its own!

Menu:

  1. Rainbow salad with spicy glazed tempeh and cilantro-lime vinaigrette
    – Eat the colours of the rainbow in this dish! With crunchy veggies and crispy marinated tempeh
  2. Masala-roasted carrots, crunchy chickpea and spinach salad
    – Spiced roast carrots with a homemade spice blend paired with crunchy chickpeas, fresh greens and almonds
  3. Superfood gado-gado with raw peanut sauce
    – my take on the traditional gado-gado with superfood ingredients and a light and creamy raw peanut sauce
    What you’ll learn:
    • How to make a sensational salad that’s not an afterthought
    • Making substantial salads that can serve as a main course
    • Techniques of making a well-balanced dressing

Little Green Kitchen (LGK) is a cooking studio and food consultancy - the brainchild of former lawyer Shalu Asnani to prove that vegetarian food is not boring! LGK offers creative cooking classes and tantalizing menus through their food consulting, private chef and catering services.

The self-confessed foodie’s foray into the world of professional cooking was first born in Beijing at renowned cooking school, The Hutong, where through serendipity she found herself at the helm of their various vegetarian cooking classes.
